Outpatient Treatment for Eating Disorders in Wrestlers with St. Louis Area Dietitians

How Eating Disorders Impact Wrestling

Eating disorders can significantly impact wrestlers in several ways. This includes their physical health with malnutrition, electrolyte imbalances, weakened immune systems and decreased muscle strength and endurance. This in turn can lead to poor performance, increased injury risk, and long term health issues. Not to mention the mental health component where anxiety, depression, and hyper focus on body image, food, and weight can impact them socially and personally.
