Registered Dietitian Association (RDA) Hybrid Position

About Us:

Branz Nutrition Counseling is a weight-inclusive, HAES®-aligned group nutrition practice serving clients in O’Fallon, IL and Kirkwood, MO, with virtual services available across licensed states. Our work is rooted in eating disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery, and we intentionally expand into other disease states, such as GI conditions, PCOS, diabetes, sports nutrition, and family nutrition, through an eating-disorder–informed, non-diet, compassionate framework.

Job Type and Location:

This position is a W2 employee, full-time, salaried position with a bonus structure based on client caseload.

This role offers flexibility to work in a hybrid format, with 2-3 days per week in a shared office space.

Overview:

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian who values relationship-centered care, collaborative practice, and helping clients heal their relationship with food and their bodies, while supporting medical nutrition needs without weight stigma or harm.

This role focuses primarily on individual outpatient nutrition counseling (in-person and virtual), along with documentation, care coordination, and collaboration with allied healthcare providers.

Why Join Branz Nutrition Counseling

HAES®-Aligned, Ethical Care: We practice nutrition therapy grounded in Health at Every Size®, Intuitive Eating, and eating-disorder–informed care. Our clinicians are supported in delivering care that prioritizes medical safety, autonomy, and long-term well-being over weight-centric outcomes.

Flexible Schedule & Autonomy: We believe sustainable clinicians provide the best care. Dietitians set schedules that align with their lives, offering a mix of in-person and virtual sessions, while maintaining predictable expectations and boundaries.

A note for applicants who have not yet passed the RD exam

First—congratulations 🎉

Reaching RD-eligible status is a huge accomplishment, and we know firsthand how much time, energy, and dedication it takes to get here. Everyone at Branz Nutrition Counseling (BNC) is rooting for you as you prepare for your exam.

That said, we ask that you wait to apply for a Registered Dietitian position with Branz Nutrition Counseling until you have:

  • Passed the RD exam, and
  • Obtained an active state license in Illinois (LDN) and/or Missouri (LD), although both are required to work at BNC depending on the role you’re applying for.

We know this may feel discouraging, but here’s why this step is important:

  1. Legally, dietitians cannot see clients at Branz Nutrition Counseling without an active RD credential and state license.
  2. Many people need more than one attempt to pass the RD exam (this is very common and nothing to be ashamed of), and exam dates are typically spaced at least a month apart.
  3. After passing the exam, obtaining a state license in Illinois or Missouri can take several weeks.
  4. We cannot begin the process of adding a provider to our insurance contracts until a state license is active.
  5. Insurance credentialing can take 6–12 weeks or longer.
  6. Because most of our clients use insurance benefits, a new dietitian’s start date must occur after credentialing is complete.

All of this means it can be several months before someone without an active license is able to begin seeing clients. Since interviewing, hiring, and onboarding are significant commitments for our team, we limit our hiring pool to candidates who are fully licensed and eligible to work at the time of application.

✨ The good news:

Once you’ve passed your RD exam and obtained your Illinois and/or Missouri license, we would love to hear from you. We proudly hire both experienced dietitians and newly credentialed RDs, and we’re always excited to welcome clinicians who align with our mission and values

We’re cheering you on, and we look forward to reviewing your application when you’re ready.
