Outpatient Nutrition Therapy for Eating Disorders & ARFID in the St. Louis Area, Missouri, and Illinois

What is Outpatient Treatment for Eating Disorders?

Outpatient treatment for eating disorders includes seeing a team of professionals that specialize in the field of eating disorders. This includes but not limited to a dietitian, therapist, PCP, and psychiatrist to name a few. It’s a way to have treatment and continue to live your life “normally” while you work towards recovery. A lot of the recommendations we as eating disorder dietitians make is to create a higher level of care in the comfort of your home. Should a specific patient need more than we can offer in outpatient, we will always recommend a higher level of care and share recommendations on places that best fit your needs.

Does eating disorder treatment work?

It absolutely can work however, we can’t do the work for you. If you follow your team recommendations, we can ensure you have a more positive relationship with food, exercise and food.

Does insurance cover eating disorder treatment?

We accept most major insurance companies and the majority of our clients pay little to nothing outside of copays or deductibles to meet with a member of our team. We also offer military discounts as we are not in network with Tricare. We always recommend checking your insurance benefits regarding nutrition coverage as coverage depends on the patient’s individual insurance plan.
