Hello! My name is Whitney Hames. I am originally from Evansville, Indiana. I earned my B.S. from the University of Southern Indiana and completed my dietetic internship at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. I have experience in clinical nutrition, long-term care, culinary management and personalized nutrition counseling.

My passion for nutrition began with learning to cook as a child and grew into a deep appreciation for science and evidence-based practice. I enjoy working with clients of all ages to help build sustainable habits that support your personal health goals and medical conditions.

My Approach

I believe food is transformative. As a registered dietitian I believe healthy eating shouldn’t feel overwhelming. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you make realistic, lasting changes that fit your life. My counseling style is direct and action-oriented so that together we’ll build an approach to eating that supports your health, fits your lifestyle and helps you feel your best. I’m passionate about public health advocacy, LGBTQIA+ allyship, and supporting people from all backgrounds, especially those who have experienced marginalization or barriers to receiving compassionate, inclusive care.

Outside the Office

Outside of work, I enjoy walking/hiking, yoga, reading, and snuggling up with my cats!
